Cape Cod Day 5: A Great awakening and even more Oysters!

A new day means another coffee place. Today’s coffee place was
Great Awakening Coffee House. I ended up going with a raspberry mocha with house-made almond milk.

Then despite the weather forecast, it was back to the beach. Finally! The weather the past few days was not the best beach weather. It was the perfect time to finish the book I started Off The Books.

Later in the evening, I had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in the cape
The Oyster Company. They have a Happy Hour deal of half-priced oysters. In addition to their oysters, they offer a fantastic menu. I opted for the fish and chips, craving something simple.

I’m really enjoying your writings. I live on the Cape and have never been to many of the establishments you’ve visited, but I’m thoroughly enjoying your commentary. I’m putting them on my to-go-to list. You have sophisticated taste, and that’s a good thing. Could you give a short review of Off the Books when you are finished? I’m curious, read mixed reviews on Amazon, but nevertheless have added it to my Amazon wish list. Thank you, Dyl! Keep writing!

    1. Thank you. I appreciate it. Once you visit them, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I have one more post coming about the Cape for this year.

The book is different from my normal go-to genre wise. However, I genuinely enjoyed reading it as throughout it, you get to see the character’s relationship delvop and evolve as the road trip goes on. Throughout the road trip, I was curious as to what was going to happen next as the stakes became high. The book, while fiction, does incorporate on real world topics that not many are aware of without taking you out of the story.

      1. I appreciate your reply, Dylan. I am drawn to that book and will have to read it. (I am a devoted reader and also a proofreader by profession.) I love coffee and will be sure to visit your suggestions. (That is not my handle name. Don’t know where that came from! I changed it in the settings but it’s still that “odd” name here. Oy!)

      2. That’s so cool! I hope you enjoy the book. I’m also a big coffee person, always trying to find cool coffee places near me or when I travel. Hopefully, the handle name gets resolved shortly.
